I’m sorry!

My daughter has picked up this thing called wining lately…now more than ever it’s constant.  Every little think, if she asks for something and it’s no, then we start he wining.  Yesterday was a day with full on wining, and at one point I almost lost it!  I pretty much screamed and through a folder of papers on the floor!  My daughter started crying and I walked out of the room…just couldn’t even do anything.  When I went to my daughters room she told me to get out…I mean a 4 year old telling me that.  Ok, I respect that…I gave her some time.  Now the thing is, that I would usually never take this approach…when my daughter was ready she came to me and said that I didn’t apologize for yelling and throwing the papers.  I told her that I shouldn’t have done that, but that the wining isn’t good because we need to talk about what we would want and if/how we can work things out.  She said she was sorry for doing that and kissed me on the cheek!  I love this kid!  She taught me a lesson for sure…next time we just need to take a breath and just talk.  Breathe…..
